How do I get an image under 30KB?
Add your photo and the tool lowers quality first, then dimensions if that's the only way to reach 30 KB. Save it as JPG or WebP — those two hit tight targets far more reliably than PNG.
Should I use 20KB or 30KB?
Use whichever your form actually asks for. The extra 10 KB is worth having if you're allowed it — faces and text come out noticeably cleaner at 30 KB than at 20 KB.
