About
SizePerfectis a free tool for compressing images to a target size — like 100 KB — landing at or under the size you choose, right in your browser. There's no sign-up, no watermark, and no software to install.
Why it exists
Most image compressors ask you to pick a quality percentage and then guess whether the result is small enough. That is backwards: nobody wants “70% quality” — they want a file under the limit a form just rejected them for. This tool works the other way round. You name the size; it finds the highest quality that fits.
How it works
For JPG and WebP it searches for the best quality setting that still lands at or under your target, then reduces the dimensions only if quality alone cannot get there. PNG has no quality setting — it is lossless — so for PNG the only lever is size, and the tool scales down until the file fits. The result is always at or under the target you asked for, never an exact byte count, because no encoder can hit an arbitrary byte figure precisely.
Your files stay yours
Everything runs on your own device. The images you choose are never uploaded to a server, which is why results are instant and why the tool keeps working if your connection drops. It also means you can use it for things you would not upload to a stranger's website — a passport scan, a medical form, a photo of a document.
How it is paid for
SizePerfect is free and funded by advertising, so there is no subscription and no limit on how many images you compress. Ads are kept away from the controls you actually use. You can reach us any time at [email protected].
